Most plug-ins makers have some tryout versions available. Start by Waves and McDsp; that should keep you busy for a while.

I constantly use my eq's from the Waves Gold Bundle. The Ren E.Q. sounds smooth, and the Q10 is great for doing surgery on tracks.

Yes, Channelstrip, indeed! Great pre-sets, as well.

McDSP works better for me than the waves ren EQ. Although the Q somethimes is a little too slack for real surgical tweaks.

Cool! thanks guys. few quick questions.

Whta would be the main diff between REQ2 and Q10?
Other than the more band manipulation.

Is the eq "quality" the same?? im thinking about buying one of them but want to get the right one.

Would buying them both be redundant?

Thanks
