Default Re: Pro Tools 11 Crash Reporter - send in those crash logs!

Cool, because I'm getting crashing from the new Antares AAX plugins. For some reason they aren't seeing my iLok and causing Pro Tools to crash! I think this is the first time since launch that Pro Tools 11 has crashed on me!

With the help of all of our users, I think this is going to greatly improve the stability of Pro Tools. Avid will likely be integrating this technology into our other products to help us improve overall stability of all Avid products.

Keep sending them in!

Bob when can we expect to see these updates coming through?

I'm having a nightmare with crashes in PTHD 11 here!

On my rig, the crashes are coming from the new AAX2 plug-ins I just installed. What i did for Kontakt 5 was to turn off the multi CPU setting and Kontakt runs smooth now. It was set by default to use all cores. The Native-Instrument VC 2A FX Plugin causes major CPU spikes halts and crashes. I'm not using that one right now, but I have other alternatives. No problem @ all with any of my Waves AAX2. The Native-Instruments VC 76 FX, VC160 FX, Reaktor 5, Battery 4, and East West Play seam to work fine. The Blue-cat MB-7 Mixer has become a great asset. It works great as another alternative. Theses plugin Manufactures have some work to do. Who was doing there Beta testing? O' I guess we are. LOL!

How can I send a crash report if my machine is offline? It gives me the option to save the report - what do I do with those saved reports? I would love to send them in!

I too am having crashes. I have a fairly lean TV mix setup that allows me to "print" all my stem mixes in one record pass (about 7 stereo record tracks). This pretty much never fell over in PT10 for me but I have not been able to do ONE full pass in PT11. Instead I have had to offline bounce them one at a time. But I would rather do the realtime record so that I can review the mix and spot any faults.

Also, just trimming VO today, during which I am usually in play not stop. In play, trimming and fading clips feels very sluggish and clunky. That's new in 11 too.

I'm on a 12-core Mac with 003 rack and MC7 installed too with Nitris DX.

What does this mean?

Happens on start up of protools 11

Cannot begin new session.

Thanks

Guy
That seems to be something Avid has forgotten to the code. I would guess it attempts to fetch something from PT 11.0.2 build 87 code branch where you do not have access to. So sad to say but you just need to update to 11.0.3 and hope that the problem goes away :/

A question to Avid: is the Crash Reporter the cause of the network bug on OSX?

What network bug are you referring to?
