Pro Tools WONT LAUNCH! - All of a sudden !?!

i was between sessions yesterday
i was at my computer
Pro Tools was not running

all of a sudden
Pro Tools tried to launch itself !?!

i didn't click on anything
but the start screen came up
indicating that the program was starting
but it wasn't successful.

it closed.

and i haven't been able to launch Pro Tools since.


i'm running 6.9.2
on a Powerbook
running 10.4.

i need a solution.

Sorry, don't have a solution but was curious if your problem is the same as mine. Does pro tools freeze when you try to open it and force you to do a hard shutdown before rebooting (as in won't let you force quit and computer won't reboot by just restarting)? I'm trying to run 6.8.1 on a G4 power book with OS X 10.4.5. PT LE 7 does the same thing.

not sure, could be your firewire connection? i had to send my 002 back to have that repaired. call tech support -- if that's the problem, they won't charge you for the call...
