The faders on a BDF2000 are not touch sensitive so they will not work in either touch or latch because they don't know you are moving them.
I'm not sure but there maybe a key command that if you push while moving the fader will drop it in to record, I could be wrong though!!
You will need to be in "write" mode for it to work.

Hi,

Like Andrew said, the faders on the BCF2000 aren't touch sensitive - so don't write automation in touch mode, you'll strain the fader motors.

Latch mode should work though, when you move the fader during playback, it should start writing automation until you stop playback. If Latch doesn't work so well, then just use Write mode.

Its not new, but when you are in touch mode and have finished your automation pass the fader will automatically latch to where you leave the fader e.g. when you take your hand off the fader it will stay where you left it rather than returning to where it was at that point in the mix, before the fader move.
Of course as we have pointed out this won't work with BCF2000 because of the lack of touch sensitivity.
