Basic post advice needed

I will be working on a film in PT. Working to a quicktime movie with window burn. The sound mix will be layed down to a DA88(mono optical 16mm)? The DA88 will be synced to PT. What protocol must I follow? Any brief overview would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all for any advice.
