I use both ProTools LE and Logic and that is a good combination since both application serve their purposes.
One thing that will force me to sell my Digi 002 and stop using PTLE is that the Digidesign core audio driver is VERY bad. The only way to make it work good is to set Logics latency to 512samples, but that is way too bad. When I use Logic with my built in soundcard(Powerbook 1 Ghz) I can have the latency set to 64samles, but usually I have it at 128. Without ANY problems. When I have a lower setting than 512 using Logic/Digi002 I get distorted sound, pops etc..just very unstable performance. Come on Digi, accept the fact that some people want to use another software for some tasks, if not, you will force people to buy other hardware. I am really tired of this. At least an explanation from Digi why it is so difficult to make this work(before I sell my gear..) /Marcus |
