Been running 11.6 for awhile. I just updated to 11.6.1. No noticeable issues on my system.

Thanks for the reply.
Hey Eric,
Can you share the workaround? I am having issues where the HDX cards just never wake up. I dug deep somewhere and it said to load the kext file...that makes HDX a usable Playback Engine but it doesn't actually work...once you load a session and hit play I just get AAE -6001 (driver error).
Thanks,
Keith

Cool, thanks. I saw this site online but I’m always a little paranoid about downloading stuff from other sites. I may give it a go…

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Check the links on the site - they are all Apple hosted.

I noticed yesterday that Avid quietly updated the PT 2021.10 requirements a couple of days after initial release. The day of release, it still stated Big Sur 11.5.2, now it says 11.6.

Of course 11.6.1 is now out but I've had no issues on my system.

Sorry for the late reply, Keith. I've been on location for a couple of weeks and just got back last Friday. I'm not sure my problem is the same as yours, but let me find the email from support.

We're having a problem with 2021.10 installing the HD Driver for HD Native. One system out of three WILL NOT install the driver. We reverted that Mac back to 2021.7 and it's fine. Have posted about this somewhere else replying to other users with the same issue.

Updated to 11.6 Big Sur and now the HDX card is not showing up. Tried reinstalling HD drivers and the old preferences trash but no dice. Going to contact support unless anybody’s found the solution.

Nevermind. I found the article on Avid about manually getting HDX to show up with terminal commands. It’s working so far.
