Default Strike Patterns Don\'t Sound

Hi,

I've installed Strike onto my MacBook Pro and updated it all the way through to the Leopard update.

I can hear the sound of the basic pattern if I click on the speaker icon in the pattern list on my Mbox Mini but if I load a set of patterns and click on the various pattern buttons at the foot of the Strike screen, I don't hear anything.

I tried trashing the Strike prefs to no avail.

I appreciate that I have loaded everything onto an unsupported OS but wondered if anyone else has had this experience before I give up. In all other respects my other virtual instruments work fine, including Stylus RMX, Hybrid, Velvet and Xpand.

I'm on OSX 10.5.2
PTLE 7.4cs4

Any ideas?

Tks

John

PT isn't compatible with Leopard yet, so all bets are off.

Yes, I know but I have the exact same set-up on a G5 running Leopard and that is working fine for Strike.

It could be a Leopard/Intel Mac thing. That is why I thought I'd ask.

Regards,

John

I installed my strike on leopard...before reformatting and going back to tiger. It worked fine. Are you sure strike is looking in the right directory for your audio files? BTW. You did say that you installed the Strike Leopard update?

Hi CiTi,

Thanks for your response and yes I did apply the Leopard/Strike update. I also ran the app that tells Strike where the .big files are.

I think I'm probably on a hiding for nothing attempting this and will wait until the official PT version with leopard support comes out. Then I'll try again.

Regards,

John

Do you have the latest Strike update installed?

Can you be more specific about the steps you're taking - what type of track you're using, what kit you're loading, what buttons you're clicking on, etc?

I have the latest update for Leopard. Just opening up in an instrument track and previewing the preset patterns. I can preview using the little speaker icon, but when I load up a preset and use the pattern buttons or controller, I get no sound. It works fine on my PC. Thanks
