Latency with Soft Instruments?
I know that TDM plugins have no added latency from processing through the CPU, what about soft instruments that are RTAS? in fact, do RTAS instruments run through the card or the CPU causing additional latency beyond the AD-DA conversion? IOW, playing a softsynth on an HD system, will it not be subject to the Buffer setting latency of 64 or 128 samples?
