Downloading Pro Tool 8.0 LE HELP.

Hi everyone,

First off I know this question is probably asked a hundred times, but I tried searching recent post and didn't come up with anything. I bought Pro Tools 6.9 LE 3 years ago, been recording for a while, and things looking good. One day my computer crashes, and I loose all my files, info. know I fixed my pc, (windows xp), and try reinstalling it, and it prompts me to enter the registration id. However, I lost or misplaced those little index cards with all the activation codes. So I said ok let me purchase Pro Tools 8.0 LE, online. Yesterday I download it, but accidently downloaded the MAC version. Learnt this when it did not open. Now I go back to the download page on mydigi, and I try to download it but nothing happens.

I hit the download button, a pop-up opens "About the download manager" and it has the Download button. When I click on the download button, nothing happens. So no i'm stuck here trying to figure it out. There is also a link "click here" but that downloads a file in a matter of seconds thats always corrupt. How can I download pro tools 8.0 le again. I need to get back to recording.

I just looked and my LE8 download still shows (I bought it in Dec 08). You go to MyDidig, login, and make sure that your pop-ups are not blocked (firefox).

edit: er, sorry, missed that last bit.
So your pop-ups show but it doesn't download. I tried clicking the DL link (non-manager) and it started fine here. It might just be your connection then.

What kind of Firewall and internet protection are you running on your download computer.

I'm not running any firewalls or interent protection that i'm aware of.

Man, this is too long. Go to another computer and try this, friend, family, someone.

I know this sucks, I finally gave up and ordered the DVD. I had a friend download it, but it didn't work out. Supposely, we both clicked on the Windows version, but the file was a .DMG file when it finished and we couldn't open it. Sucks and I swear I clicked on the windows link. tech support emailed me that the link for windows is a .zip file, so we probably made a mistake. I dunno, anymore, so I just finished ordering the DVD, and hopefully by Tuesday i'm up and running.

Damn, I had this issue at first, so I tried again, did a right click & save target as from the download link before the pop-up box appeared and it worked!
