MIX Core Card Repair

Anyone know if there is a flat rate repair on these cards and if so, how much it might be? Also, is it the same price for a MIX Farm card as well?

I was told $390 for the core card. Don't know about the farm card.

In other words, more than the price of a replacement card on the 'used' market

I have two Mix cards which have a DSP chip that occasionally doesn't load, or fails Digitest. they're still usable though.

You can get a replacement used mixcore for about $320.

I have a bad mix core on my desk in front of me, digidesign said it would be $430 for the repair. You can get working (well temporarily working) ones off of e-bay or craigs list for $300ish.

I think Digi wants them all to die...

I just had a core card repaired for $150 and an Accel card for $150, $300 total in July of 2009.

DUDE, where did you get one repaired for $150. Please let me know. Least expensive repair I've found is $385.

From Digidesign directly. Sent them in, they fixed them and charged me $300 for both. They did quote me a max amount it could be, but charged way less. They didn't charge me for shipping either. It did cost me $90 with insurance to ship to them. One other point; I sent them 3 cards and had them check all three. They didn't charge me for testing the one that checked out fine either. Very good experience with them.
