Default cannot group selected tracks?

Hi,
I have both selected tracks in the edit window darkend and selected with the hand tool.I go to the file window and the group selected trax field is greyed.Hoq can I select it?Or what is wrong??

Hilite the track name(s)...not the audio file itself. Hold the shift key to select more then one track. Hit command+g. Done.
