Default Longer TDM cable

Thinking about a new build... but the PCIe slots in the mobo of interest are wider that the TDM cable used to connect two HDX cards. I can't find any mention of a longer TDM cable, but I'm sure I'm not the first to face the problem. Is there any alternative to selecting a mobo that has narrowly spaced PCIe slots?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer. No such cable, because of delay issues with a longer TDM cable... so the only alternative is a mobo with at least PCIe x4 or faster every slot, like the ASUS P9X79, with five PCIe x16 slots side by side, and a 6th slot spaced wide for a fat video card.

The only chance you have is to track down a man named Bob Nagy. He is an old Digidesign Employee. He had custom TDM cables you could get from him. I have not seen him around the forum in quite a while.

Thanks, guitardom. I'm now leaning toward a new X99 / Haswell build with PT on an M.2 card. Probably an AS Rock WS X99 with LGA-2011-v3.

Bob Nagy, are you around?

If the OP is talking about HDX, I think they're just SATA cables. Try at your own risk!
