Unique issue with Pro Tools Artist

I'm running into a problem where Pro Tools will not continuously record. I'm transferring a couple of cassette tapes so the session is just one stereo audio track. The session will record like normal for a few minutes and then the meters on the track just freez. Pro Tools continues to record but no wave form is present.

After I stop recording I can't get pro Tools to start recording again or playback until restarting the program. Pro Tools does not give me any error messages. I have tried using my Saffire as well as ASIO4all as a playback engine. The longest I have gotten it to record for is 15min.

All software is up to date.

My CPU usage stays under 5% and about 1 gig of Ram usage also I'm not over taxing my system.

Using a Windows 10PC
Ryzen 7 5800x 8 core CPU
32 GB 3200Mhz DDR4 ram
Saffire pro 40 interface
TI based FireWire PCIe card

Saffire Mix control works fine. I can Monitor audio in and out of it. Iv also tried Disabling all audio devices in windows.

That's all I can think of with the issue. I'll answer any questions anyone has.
