Default 'Revolutionary new solution' for guitarists from Avid?

'On September 23rd, Avid is set to unveil a revolutionary new solution designed specifically for guitar players. Years of research and development is about to culminate in one killer product.'

http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?...0&itemid=39691

What's this all about then, eh?

duno - wondering about the same thing - "revolutionary" is a strong word often misused in our industry..
Hopefully it wil live up to the hype..

The word revolutionary does not mean the same to AVID as to the rest of humanity. I think they used that word for Structure too as it arrived

The upgrade was $250. Air plugins alone were worth $250. But we also got many new and highly welcomed features. How is that disappointing?

As for the new product -- there's still quite a gap between real amps and modeling software. I do hope they've closed it a little. Based on the sloooow progression of gtr modeling software in general, I don't have high hopes. Nothing has been "revolutionary," just small steps.

Already talked about here: http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=254458

It's a rackmount version of Eleven, after you fill out the form the browser page title says 'Eleven Rack'

Revolutionary, only if you like Eleven. Not a giant fan myself. Doesn't come even remotely close the real deal, for me at least. But, the whole personal taste in guitar tone is a very subjective debate indeed.

"Years of research and development is about to culminate in one killer product."
