Hi , does anybody hear the difference between same project in short or in long
delay compensation option in HD. We think that project with short delay copesation sounds better. What do you think? |

Hmmm... I don't think there should be any sonic improvement, short vs. long. If anything, it will be noticeable in the timing of the track, tighter or looser.

Well as long as none of the track "Delay Dialog's" are reporting "RED" by design, there SHOULDN'T be a difference at all.
the Long Delay setting, is for mixes, where you're using several plugins per track, which combined delay, exceeds the maximum (1023) Samples allowed in the "Short" setting. Switching to "Long" allows the Mix Engine to compensate up to 4095 samples. The only way you'd "Hear a difference", is if your session had tracks incurring a delay beyond 1023 samples, and the Mix engine Delay Compensation setting was on "Short"
