Default "Bus error" in "Main Thread", at address 0x0

Hope someone can help. I've searched and tried everything I found with no luck so far.

I just bought a new MacBook Pro 13" - 2.3Ghz Intel Core i5 4Gb 1333 Mhz DDR3 Ram. Did a clean install of the OS. Tried to install PTLE 8.0 and got stumped with an error message ""Bus error" in "Main Thread", at address 0x0" when ever I started a new session or opened up a existing one.

Then attempted to install 8.0.1 in hopes it would be fixed. Installation "failed" due to some Interlok thing that I can't remember. Seems 8.0.1 may have been installed anyway, but same error appears when I start or open a session.

BTW, error occurs with 002r and Mbox.

I think I went through all the general trouble shooting suggestions, but feel free to make any suggestions. Need help ASAP.

Which OS version are you running?

Typically this is caused by a corrupted install - a clean uninstall, restart and reinstall should take care of it, though knowing which OS version you're on would help, as that may be a contributor.

Thanks for the help. I'm using Snow Leopard - I forget which version number that is. Perhaps 10.6.7 if I recall correctly. Not near that mac at the moment. I'll update if I find I'm wrong.

If it helps, this has been the third install. The second one where I start from a completely fresh mac OS. Each time the issue persists.

I'm hoping to stay with 8.0.1 so I can use my mbox occasionally when I'm away from my rack.
