Default digiworld New York

This past weekend I attended digiworld new York. It was a very interesting show. One of the highlights I saw was a beta version of Pro Tools 5.3.1 running on Windows XP. I was very imppessed and the digi rep told me that the program will be relased "very shortly" The interface looks like the regular pro tools interface, but apparently they have enhanced some of the midi functions and now you can import quicktime movies. I also spoke to another digi rep who said that a new verion of ptle is comming out in a few weeks that will support digipronet. Any more questions about digiworld???
feel free to email

I went as well and the Digi rep I spoke to told me "within 2 months"...sounds fairly promising.

I also asked about DC and got an "I don't know"...I then went to the Native Instruments table and asked their guy about RTAS for PC and he said that it was entirely up to Digidesign and he "hoped so" but he hasn't heard anything....hmmm....

"it was entirely up to Digidesign"

WHAT?/? Digi says we should be e-mailing them and asking for support...What gives? who's fault is it?

By the way I hope Digi gets their act together..it should be THEM e-mailing not US doing their work.

We are leaning on them, trust me. It just helps when people also let them know that wallets are willing to be opened if they deliver the goods.
