Getting 7.1 or Better Software

My Mac Mini (Intel Core Duo 1.66Ghz 2GB RAM) is not compatible with my Mbox2 software, as I got it almost 18 months ago and it is version 6.2 or something. The system requires a 7.1 or better to run (the Mini).

Where can I get this and how much is it? Is it possible for me to somehow upgrade from my original software through the mail, getting the install disks from the factory? Is it possible just to download the entire thing from Protools website?

It is Protools LE 7.1 or better software that I require? Can I confirm this before I goto the download center?

The firtst version of Protools LE to work with Intel processors on Macs was 7.1.1. You might as well get the latest version, currently 7.3.1 cs2. The upgrade is $75.00 for download.

But what I'm saying is that I can't UPGRADE into 7.1 or better, since the version I have with which to install onto my new Mac Mini is INCOMPATIBLE with the system! Hence, I cannot install it then download the upgrade.

u don't need to install it, just download the latest ...7.3.1 cs2 its an installer on its own, it doesn't require the old version for it to function

If you Buy 7.3 from the Digistore you shouldn't need to have a version of 7.xx already installed. Your new serial number will be in your "my Digi" page and there should be a link to the correct download page. I believe that you can install CS2 without having preiviously installed the 7.3 update.
