Can't Drag Drop Audios OR Not Be In Run as admin

Hey

I recently had to put Pro Tools into Run As Administrator mode because of an error I was getting.

AAE Error 13001 was encountered. Not enough orivileges to raise priority of a thread. Bad Installer?

- Running as admin sorted this...

However

Now I can't drag and drop wav files into the edit window

If I turn off 'Run as admin' this is supposed to stop it - but it won't load if I don't run as admin.

Any ideas please

On Windows, it's one or the other. With RAA, use Import Audio.

It might be possible to change the permissions for the PT .exe. You'll need to check the Internet how to do that.

I reinstalled Pro Tools now.

I have a different problem.

All my plugins crash the damn program now.

Installing them again and now reinstalling Pro Tools once more - I am regretting buying a PC now - my Macbook Pro only had 256gb of space so with using NI Komplete too I couldn't install everything. It didn't give me this hassle though lol

I would try trashing your preferences.

Before trashing Pro Tools preferences, follow these steps to show hidden folders:

Click ‘View’ in your File Explorer window, then check Hidden items above Show/hide

1.) Close Pro Tools.
2.) Hold the Windows key on your keyboard and press R.
3.) When the Run window appears, type %appdata% and press OK.
4.) Open the Avid folder, and delete the Pro Tools folder.
5.) Restart your computer and launch Pro Tools

Are you referring to when PT launches and scan all your plugins?
Is that when it crashes?
