Hi Vocalise,

I am seriously looking at the SSL plugs.

Are you using it on all tracks in your mix or just some? Also are you finding the plugs easy enough to tweak as you need or is it very much a turn and discover exercise? I ask this because I understand there is little visual feedback of your curves etc.

Can I ask what is it about the SSL that you are most impressed about?

Cheers

bukman, you can put them on many channels at once, I've used around 20 in a session before (in addition to reverbs and other dynamics plugins), (mono/stereo tracks). Yes they're easy to tweak. And the most impressive part about them is that they sound great, which is the most important.

They are great plugs IMO... I use them every session...

One thing to note though, (not that it matters much) the actual frequencies of the EQ’s are a long way out from the visual markers on the knobs (quite possibly the same on the real hardware, I wouldn’t know...) but either way, always dial in by ear rather than eye (which is a good rule anyway, but particularly with these plugs...) i.e. if you think something needs a little 3k, sweep it around to find the ‘real’ 3k don’t just type 3k into the control & wonder why it doesn’t sound right...

Cheers
