Default AVID please chime in...Still no mix/edit follows bank selection
Could someone from Avid please explain why this was not fixed for versions of PT before 12. Is there a valid technical reason for this?
No disrespect intended but it feels like this is a way to force people to jump on to PT 12 and these types of business moves leave me feeling manipulated. Is this a sign that PT 11 is being left in the dust?

I would love to see an Avid response but realize that PT11 is not going to have any new features. Bug fixes only.

As Kyle Spittberger admits himself, this is a bug not a feature:

Lastly, a long time request for Edit/Mix windows to follow surface bank selection is working in Pro Tools 12+. Various other fixes are listed below.

He says "ohter fixes below". So this one is also a fix. Avid should really fix this for pro tools version below 12.
But I don't have to much hope...

Agreed, having a checkbox in preferences that does not affect anything is certainly a bug and should be addressed.

If it's working in PT12 but not in PT11 with the same version of Eucon, then it's likely a PT11 bug. Hopefully it will be fixed for PT11 sometime soon. They did recently change the time frame for 11 fixes, if I recall correctly they reneged the Dec '15 EOL date.

This required Pro Tools work in addition to EuControl work, so we needed a Pro Tools release to get it working.
