what stuff are you producing?

only speech?
music?
a mix of speech and music?

for radio-spots i suggest you put on a c4 and a l1 (both by Waves) to get the highest level possible. It may not be that elegant, but they all do it....

If you have the Factory, (that didn't come with the Waves L1 and c4 which are a limiter and graphic EQ/expander I believe) -I use Digi's Maxim on my Vox channel to boost the overall volume without clipping after I cut the track... It's just great for worry-free LOUD.

Use dither on the mains when bouncing down to disk.

That's my standard 'always there' plugs for Radio prods, whether it's a produced show or spots; I do have an outboard compressor to use for side-chain ducking...

The 001's included Compressor, Limiter, and Gate all have side-chain controller options so you can do Music or SFX ducking with those...

Every day I am grateful for (the salesperson that talked me into getting) the bundle that came with the Factory, especially the 'toys' like Recti-Fi, Sci-Fi, and Lo-Fi; those are great for spice and 'sound design' work.

The Maxim is, IMHO, the most transparent do-hicky in the bunch- it reads ahead so is as close to perfect as I could hope for- I think it's way underrated here on the DUC.

L1+ is a limiter (they call it ultramizer)
C4 is a multiband-compressor.

I use the Waves Gold Bundle and Mastering Bundle on all my radio ads. Makes a world of difference. www.waves.com for 14 day trial.
