Well, there is quite a lot more to uninstalling Protools 11 than just dragging it to the trash...

root/Library/Application Support/AVID along with with a myriad of other files located in Documents, Preferences, Caches etc.....

IM personal O - Any company supplying an application should have an uninstaller that uninstalls EVERYTHING and not just one thing ;-)

So... yeah... not looking to start a rant here ...but:

I had been experiencing weird behavior on my PC HD native rig... almost identical to the Mac PT rig I was having trouble with.. I went back to 11.2.1 on my PC and .... viola.. stable.

Seriously Avid, what are you doing? Releasing PT12 when 11 is still obviously broken is just plain low. How did you "break" your software on an incremental update?

I just shelled out a lot of coin for my HD native rig... only because I (literally) couldn't afford to learn a new DAW.. Avid better get their house in order to maintain their user base... or get their books in order to make get ready for the Chapter 11 people.

11.3.1 was really unstable here. I went back to 11.2.2.

11.3.1 stable on OSX 10.8.5 and OSX 10.9.5; not stable at all on OSX 10.10.1

Just adding my voice to the chorus!

OSX 10.8.5 HDX|1 PT 11.3.1 is stable..... UNTIL you start using VI's. Then it crashes ALL the time. I am working on scoring a documentary that has a lot of little bumper cut downs and it is PAINFUL trying to get demos out the door. I have had 4 crashes tonight alone.

I have a clean system, run Cocktail, disk warrior, deleted preferences, double-checked that I have the most recent plugins for ALL my plugins.

11.3.1 sucks for VI's.

What vi's are you having problems with? Both OSX 10.8.5 and OSX 10.9.5 have been stable with NI stuff and EW Play engine libraries. Synthmaster and Arturia vi's stable as well. No crashes. Then again I don't run video inside pT - learned that lesson all too well.
