Default Omni SPDIF question

All,

Just put together my HD native rig with an Omni. I use the Universal Audio 2192 for all conversion (a/d and d/a)

I am having real trouble getting my main mix and headphone to mirror each other since Digi has "locked" the output on 1/2 in the IO settings.

I would like to have outputs 1 and 2 on the Omni use SPDIF (to output to the UA for monitoring) and I want the same signal to be in the headphones.

This was pretty straight forward on my TDM rig and even on the 003.

thanks for you help!

The Omni doesn't do Spidf mirroring, but there's a way to let outputs 1-2 be any other outputs you want. I'm not at my Omni rig right now, but I will try to look at it later and go into more detail.

I think the issue you may be having is because you are using the 2192 for your conversion you have no other outputs available... Since you are using i am assuming ADAT in 1-8 and dat out 1-8 your Omni does not have anymore available outputs...So your headphone mix may need to be split (if possible) from the the 2192 not the Omni....

Let me know if this is the set up you are using....

I am not using ADAT at all... I am using SPDIF to and from the 2192.

I would like outputs 1/2 on the Omni to go over the SPDIF connection and also feed my headphone amp on analog channels 1/2.... old school mirroring.

Like i stated, this was possible... and easy on every other Digi interface I have used.

thanks!
