Default Feature Request: Longer Faders

With the advent of touchscreens... I now have dual touchscreens... I would like longer faders.. the little ones are harder to grab with a finger than longer ones would be.

Other DAWs can modify the fader length... am I missing something or is ProTools unable to do it?

thanks

Pro Tools can not change fader length, Pro tools is modeled on hardware (you can't modify the length of the faders on a Neve, SSL, or Mackie)

PT11's faders are 30% longer than the previous versions so you may want to look at the upgrade

What touch screen monitors do you have and do you have a link?

Thanks
Chris

bummer.

it's amazing that REAPER can resize faders... but the "audio standard" cant..

Im not jumping ship.... but come on ... i bet it's just a matter of time before they unlock the GUI for us to resize faders.

the monitors are dual Acer t232HL bmidz running on windows 7 ultimate... as far as I know no mac support.

Well, the Slate Raven and MTX-1(is that right?) seem to be Mac-only, so at least Windows users have something to consider. Looks great!

It looks fantastic

Thanks Dave. The MTX is 16 large and we are awaiting the new S6 and see if we are gonna sell or trade in our D-Control but $16K for a touchscreen is kinda expensive as someone here had tried it and said "after the initial wow it was not that cool". If you meant the baby (MTi) for $2500 now that is more like it as I think it would be cool for editing with the fingertips and have all the features touch-able Very very cool

Thanks Dave for the info
Chris

I've just highlighted a need... might be a small one but it would help me.

The mouse-driven fader speed is way too fast but if you hold the control/cmd key it becomes the same as the Artist Mix I have here.
