Default Only one midi track will record ready

Hi,
For some reason only one midi track will go into record ready at a time. As soon as a second track is armed the first drops out. Any advise gratefully received!

Why can't midi tracks have "input" mode like audio tracks? We need to be able to monitor midi input on multiple RTAS instruments without the process being confused with the act of recording! Otherwise it starts to get confusing when you really want to record audio, but want to keep monitoring incoming midi. If you're driving an RTAS instrument from an external sequencer, it makes more sense, usually, to keep playing the midi from the source so you can continue making changes!

Some people will say record the midi into ProTools, and edit it there. But for reasons too lengthy to go into, I personally want to stay away from that scenario...
