Default Help with CD music transfer to PT

Hello,

I have an old CD (from 90s) of music by my band recorded that plays fine in all DVD/CD players. The songs were recorded from DAT to .cda onto that disc (I dont not have old DAT anymore). I have tried mulitple ways to rip them (using different programs) and fly them into PT 7.2 LE, so I can remaster them. When I rip them, I can get either wave or mp3 files saved, with what looks like the appropraite file size (MB size). However, when I finalize these onto another CD or fly them into PT, I get no sound, and there is no wave form that shows up in PT. Any idea what is going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have quicktime or itunes installed? If not try installing those and then see if you can import your cda.

You should be able to using the ripper in Windows Media Player...I've had to resort to that a couple of times, and it will in fact let you save to either .wav or MP3. Do you have the pro Tools MP3 option?
