PT HD sessions to PT LE - Where are the inactive tracks.

Hey Guys,

Im Curious to know what happens to the inactive tracks, when importing a session from HD with more than the allowed tracks and some become inactive.. I cant find them, and when i click view inactive tracks its greyed out and therfore not click-able. Any help is much appreciated.

Also whats the work around for this when you have the session in LE, can you mix whats active then activate the other tracks and deactivate or bounce the multiple tracks to stereo track that you have already mixed?

Since there's a limit of available tracks in LE, you can only access that amount of tracks.

If you were to "deactivate" tracks that fall before the "inactive" ones, you should find your greyed-out tracks activate.

What I would do is either bounce some of your "active" tracks down to one track, thus leaving some free spaces (deactivate the original tracks - do not delete them), or bounce all of your "main" tracks down to a file, deactivate those, mix the remaining track and bounce it, then mix those two mixes together in another session. I just finished doing something like that in a large session.

I think I'd go for the first option, should I need to do this again!

Inactive tracks will be greyed out. To make them active, you'll have to make current active tracks inactive. Once you reach the maximum track count, all other tracks over this will be inactive.
