Default Problem recording 3rd audio track from same hardware source

I recorded a kick and snare audio tracks from my Yamaha RMX1 onto 2 separate audio tracks in Pro Tools, and when I started to record the 3rd, I got a loud robot type static noise that seems to be triggered simultaneously with the sound coming from the Yamaha. What am I missing??
Thanks,
BC
