Live concert to individual sessions

Dear Friends,
I'm mixing a 2 hour live concert for video release.
I'd like to have a separate session for each song, while keeping the origional full concert session intact. After all songs are mixed, I need to bring them back in the timeline where they were origionally.
How do I make individual sessions for the songs?

open the session.

Pick one song to work on.

select ALL in groups.
Drag over all the OTHER audio (except the song you want to work on) and delete

so you should now be looking at one song only.

go to the regions bin and SELECT UNUSED

then select CLEAR and hit REMOVE (NOT "delete")

now SAVE AS the song.

that's it.
do that for every song.

just don't delete any audio as you are still sharing ONE Audio Files folder.

There are many ways to go about this - I'm going to tell you how I would do it.

From the original session, select all tracks for the length of an area you want to be separated out into a new session. Do a separate, so that you now have a new region for all tracks that define that area. Then consolidate the selected regions on the tracks so that you now have new parent audio files. Export those files to a new folder.

Repeat that procedure for each song, exporting the newly created regions to a new folder - you'll have 1 new folder for each song. I might even create a template and create a new session folder for each song before starting the above, so that you can export directly to the audio files folder for the appropriate session.

Once you have each songs audio files exported from the original session, open one of the previously created session files for the song, then drop the audio files you previously exported for that song into the session.

Mix as needed. Once you're done mixing, bounce the file to disk. Repeat for each song.

Now reimport the bounced files into the original full concert sessions region bin and tab to the beginning of each region, then spot the appropriate bounced file to the current playhead position.
