Default Sort of a problem...

Greetings!

While I was trying to consolidate some audio clips, I think I pushed a wrong key when I introduced the keyboard shorcut. The clip was consolidated, but it went from the "waveform" display to something similar to "blocks", without being selected that display/mode!

Now everytime I consolidate a clip, or apply any FX, EQ, etc., the same thing happens. I can still listen everything that is on the clip, but cannot longer see it displayed in its waveform.

I don't know if I accidentally activated another "display option" or something like that. Can somebody tell me what could have happened and what can I do to solve it?

Thank you so much!!

by the track name in the arrange window there are the view choices... if you select waveform while holding option all tracks should now be back on waveform display. but I think you know that already..

beyond that try the trouble shoointg steps... database and volume trashing, prefs trashing, repairing permissions, re start... worst case if none of that works try importing session data from a brand new session. . maybe something in thee original session was messed up.

I'm not sure what is causing it, but I've been getting quite a few calls about this myself. The simplest solution so far has been to just select the region and choose "recalculate waveform overview" from the region list menu. (Not the one in the menu bar, but the one over the top of the region list on the right side of the edit window)

Is this another PT8 bug? Maybe I'll just give the whole version amiss and hold out for 9.
