Reason Rewire issues with PT 6.1 LE (M-Box)
I can't seem to get Reason to run with Pro Tools 6.1. I just updated from 6.0 so that I could use rewire. I see in my plug-in folder the "DigiRewire" file, but when in Pro Tools, I cannot find "Reason" under plugins when creating an insert.
My roommate has 6.4, and "Reason" is a plugin that comes up on an insert. His works fine. I wish I could get 6.4, but I don't have OS 10.3 yet. Is it something simple? Do I need to do something in Reason to get it to work? Is there anywhere else where I need to put the file "DigiRewire"? Should I re-install Pro Tools so that the plugin becomes active in a session? Thanks to those who can help. Ross |

Hi,
Just few questions... are you sure you have reason installed.... Are you sure to lunch FIRST Protools and after a while REASON? ... Anyway you caould upgrade untill PT 6.2.2 (i think) wich still runs on Jaguar. I Hope this helps. Bye |

Re: Reason Rewire issues with PT 6.1 LE (M-Box)
Yes. Reason is up and running on my computer; I've made several beats in Reason, using MIDI through my keyboard. It's just with Pro Tools it doesn't work.
I even used the MIDI connection and made my keyboard a slave of Pro Tools, then Reason a slave of my keyboard. But that sucked, and there was too much of a latency problem with the MIDI registering late in Reason. Fun though. Where can I get 6.2? |

Thanks man, but still doesn't work!
I downloaded the update, everything on Digi's end went fine... Opened a session, tried to find "reason" as a plugin, and it just wasn't there. I have no idea why it doesn't work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone?? |

This is a long shot AND a guess (what good am I REALLY??) but...
Have you tried dragging an Alias of Reason into the ProTools plug-in folder? |

Re: Reason Rewire issues with PT 6.1 LE (M-Box)
You know what? I actually tried that this morning. I also tried taking my roommate's "DigiRewire" plugin from his 6.4 folder.
No luck. I'm stumped. This is the first time I can't solve the problem with the time I've spent troubleshooting. Thanks though guys. If anyone else can help!!! |
