Default PT10 OMF issue IMPORT TRACK COMMAND line 243

Hello everyone,

Hope you are staying well in these Covid-ian times.

I am having an issue importing one of 11 OMF exports from Premiere and hoping that someone here may have seen the message before:

Could not complete the Import Tracks Command because Assertion in "/Volumes/AlturaPorts/PT4_App/Macbuild/..?PtSess/PtSess_lop.cpp" line 243

I have investigated with the editor a few of the normal culprits, and as I mentioned, 10 of the 11 episodes open without issue.

I appreciate any help with this one!

Thanks in advance!

-Gilles

I've seen it, but I'll be damned of I can remember exactly what I did about it. I think it was one of the usual suspects things, though. I always try a cold reboot first. Try a new pro tools session. Use a different drive. Repair permissions. Trash preferences. Or it might be this error is one I've seen in corrupt OMF files. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Ok thanks KingTor,

No luck so far. It's just a line I have not seen before, and I am hoping to not have to pay for a service ticket at this point...oh AVID.

My pro tools 10 rig is inaccessible from our in-place shelter so I can't do any troubleshooting there, but it's possible I did open a ticket, so I'll check for whether there are any in my account.

Nope. Must be something I stumbled through, then. Is getting a replacement OMF from the editor an option. It's always possible a different person made the trouble one or something got checked differently, or that it just failed for mysterious reasons.

Only things I could suggest from past issues - if you got the omf via download or ftp, try downloading it again in case something went amiss in the transfer of that one, or try renaming it to a simple 5 letter name with no dashes etc.
