As I was trying to bounce a recording to disc, it gave me that message. Said to increase buffer size in playback engine but I'm already at maximum 1024. Not sure what to do. Thanks.
Digi 002 Macintosh dual-processor but using an external hard drive for storage OSX snow leopard I've read other similar threads but don't see a solution. Posted 2 days ago with a recording problem delay but was able to solve that one. Last edited by wfenlon; 01-26-2013 at 01:53 PM. Reason: info about system |

Difficult to diagnose with no specs.
Put your spec in your signature and the job is done.

Tried to add specs in an edit of the message.
Macintosh OSX 10.6.8 2.16 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 3GB memory plus external HD I've recorded successfully in the past but was not able to bounce to disk and today the recording process stopped after about 3 minutes of the song, giving that same error message. |

Well, it looks like the problem was in the 3 plugins. Just basic EQ and reverb that came with Protools 9. It has recorded with them in the past. I also reduced the DAE playback buffer from level 4 back to level 2 which I had raised due to a different issue. I feel like I've solved the problem without understanding what the issue was. Plus I obviously want to rerecord with the ability to use plug ins, but maybe the problem is clearer to some of you. Thanks for any comments.

I would try to trash preferences.
Remember to set PT to use 1 processor less after that. |

Sorry for my ignorance, but how do you ''trash preferences"? And You're suggesting using one processor rather than two?
