bouce to disk results in no audio

just upgraded to protools 8 mpowered and was attempting to bouce to disc some music cues for a show to make a cd. Audio files bounced except for mp3 but would not play and produce audio in itunes to be able to make a audio cd. tried all forms of files and all play but no audio. Suggestions? Is there another way to make files for tracks for a cd other than bouncing to disk and importing into itunes?
