There's also Vienna Power Pan.

To the op:
I know you mentioned that you tried linking the pan pots; have you tried inverse linking?

You can also change the pan law in Pro Tools. SETUP>SESSION Pan Depth.

I'm not sure I agree with your conclusion that it's better to have one knob instead of two. Having two pan knobs is much better than having one since you have more options and you are not having to use a plugin to adjust the stereo balance IMO.

This was an interesting discussion on panning.

You could also split your stereo track to 2 mono tracks if you prefer and adjust pan and level that way.

Just curious, what's that? Nothing on Google that points to a plugin you can buy.

You must have missed it as I found a couple of references via Google. But to make things easy it's part of Vienna Suite and Vienna Suite Pro. See this page: https://vsl.co.at/en/Vienna_Software...uct_Comparison
It's one of many plugins in a combo package from VSL.

I saw pretty much the same links, I just couldn't find how to buy it separately. Thanks!

You can't; you have to buy the whole bundle and there's some pretty good stuff in there.

My other daw (Digital Performer) has a single pan knob on a stereo track. So it can be done. And it's not a balance control like on a home stereo.
