Wow You guys are all Funny. I'm sure people laugh just as hard at your music.
I'm actually excited for the update so I can finally use my 24 gigs of Ram in my 12 Core

If it's 64bit. That demo video that's floating around says they are loading the whole project into RAM outside of Protools. At least that's how I heard it.

I look forward to this release but I'm a skeptic on what it will actually deliver.

Hope I'm wrong.

Carl

My PT9 HD3 system is chugging along just fine. I will leave it to every else to dive in the deep end of the pool and work out all the issues Then when the smoke clears I will maybe then think about upgrading. . . . . .

okay so let's give in the rumor wagon shall we? The big news that avid will announce is that it's been bought by apple and that nothing will ever come out under avid's name again. And pt will be absorb into logic, while pinnacle will be absorb into final cut x with the same nasty changes that got every one mad at them, no more smart tools, no more files location index etc etc etc.

See it's my wife, girlfriend cousin, brothers, who's a R&A tech at apple who told his friend that works as a retailer near area 51.

This is a good idea only if you are using PT for a business/stuio. If not, then once it comes out, there will be a few threads why something is not working. (when I say few, I mean a few thousand posts and threads with in the first week alone).
