I apparently made the mistake of registering Carbon less than 24 hours too soon and did not get either Ultimate license or the Autotune license. I checked just now and nothing new was deposited in my account.

Is there someone really nice I could contact to see if there is anything that could be done? Or basically my screwup of registering 24 hours too soon means I am out of luck?

I do realize there are cutoffs for everything in life, but the mistake I made was thinking this was already live.

As I said, this promotion hasn't been announced by Avid yet. Why don't you wait to see what actually happens?

Its been on the Avid website since early last nite, linked from the Carbon landing page. Not hidden at all, just says buy and register before Sept 15.

My mistake - I didn't find that, even though I was looking.

However, if you click on the link in that page for the FAQ, you get

"Page Not Found: /articles/en_US/FAQ/Carbon-Promo

So I still think they haven't launched it properly yet.

Nothing announced yet For me since I had a current Ultimate upgrade plan and opted for the free 1 year extension of it . It would be great to get a second year,,,,, but ???????

It's daft really - I missed out by 9 days. And it's not when the Carbon was made, or when it was bought, it's when you registered it.
I already had PT standard, so there was no hurry to register anything except to get the 'free' plugins. But I could have held off for months. How will anyone know what they can sell or what they will get if they buy used? Seems like Avid have cooked up a support headache - there can't be that many Carbon users or they wouldn't have needed to put on a big promotion. The stock in the UK shops has remained very static, so it doesn't seem to be popular.

So I'm guessing this is arranged in such a way that people who already have Ultimate can't buy this unit, and then sell the Ultimate serial number, is that correct? Or vice versa, perhaps.
