SSL Duende - increased latency with PT 8.0
Hi,
Anyone using SSL's Duende? Reported latency from the plugin has increased from 896 samples in PT 7.4 to 1280 samples in PT 8.0 (512 buffer). I understood that latency was a function of the plug-in, not the host. Obviously not. What this means in effect is that when I reload 7.4 projects into 8.0, I need to recalculate all my offsets for those tracks not using the plugin. Great. Can anyone confirm this ? David |

Re: SSL Duende - increased latency with PT 8.0
Duende V3 - So far no problems other than a couple of minor hangups on install of the new drivers. There is a vastly decreased buffer latency, though some Duende plugins still have a very small amount, but nothing like before (i.e. 1700-3500 samples with V2 vs 288 or less with V3). All of this with PT8. The few times I used Duende V2 with 7.4, the latency was still in the thousands. I never really paid close attention to the exact number because I use Mellowmuse ATA religiously with the Duende regardless of the PT version.
