Default Bars & Beats Question on PT 5.2.1

I would like to know if anyone have the same problem i'm having with regions (wave or midi)in bars & beats, The problem is that when I copy a region let's say one beat or one bar, then duplicate the region hundreds of time like having a bars of a kick duplicated util I get 8 minutes or something, I found that the regions starts to get out of the grid on the bars as the time go.This is on midi regions or wave as well, I capture a sapmle perfectly on grid for one bar, but keeps geting out of grid anyway. The remedy I found is copy the bar and then pasted on each bar as I get the 8 minutes or so and works perfect, but It takes a lot of time doing it, if do it duplicating, is faster but I get the problem I already describe.

Does anyone is having the same problem? or is it just bug? or is there a property I didn't adjust?
does this happend on PT 6.x?

Thanks fo the help!!!

Make sure that under the assumption that your audio file loops perfectly, once highlighted the first time (before the Apple+D bonanza begins), you see the entire region selected in black, filling the entire measure. You may need to zoom in a little, there could be a hairline of air at the very end of your loop, which would otherwise go unnoticed, thus causing a drift after a few measures in. I'm guessing that's the culprit. If so, select your loop as well as the air while in grid mode, then do a 'consolidate region', that should take care of it.

Then perhaps the loop isn't as perfect as you thought?
I can't think of any other reason...

From the <PT manual:
Quote:
Duplicating Audio
When using Duplicate or Repeat for audio that
must fall cleanly on the beat (for loops), it is im-portant
that you select the audio material with
the Selector, or by typing in the start and end
points in the Event Edit area. If you select an au-dio
region with the Grabber (or by double-click-ing
it with the Selector), the material may drift
by several ticks because of sample-rounding.
If, on the other hand, you want to Duplicate or
Repeat audio that is not bar- and beat-based, set
the Time Scale to any format except Bars:Beats.
This ensures that the duplicated audio material
will have the correct number of samples and will
be placed accordingly.
Click in the track and enter the start and end
points for the selection in the Event Edit area.
4 Choose Edit > Repeat. In the Repeat dialog,
enter the number of times you want the mate-rial
to repeat, then click OK.
The material is placed immediately after the se-lection’s
end point, and duplicated by the num-ber
of times specified.
