Default backup management

hi there,

what is your worklow to manage backups. When I have mixed a session I "save copy" whith "audio" to an external HD. So far so good.

When I have recalls on that mix I would like to make a backup again without having to copy a few GB again and delete the old copy. The audio files are basically 95% the same. Can I "save a copy" where only the "new or changed files" (commit, bounce etc) are added to the copy.

How do you guys do?

Definitely agree; it's saved my butt more than once. One of the nice things is you can set it to do automatic backups on a schedule. I use CCC to do my regular system/sessions backups to external spinner drives.

Right. The best money I've ever spent on software.

I use this and set it up so my backups are automatic every night. It's setup to back up to a second internal drive as well as a server.

It's also super useful to sync folders and rives as well.

Indeed, drive imaging and cloning is a must. When it comes to sessions, if it doesn't exist in 3 places, its not backed up(and one of the 3 places should be in another building or at least at the other end of the house) Maybe grab another big external drive, save copies to it and then store it in a small fireproof box(better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it)

As witnessed in the latest round of fires in California those so-called fireproof boxes/safes aren't all they're cracked up to be.

Sadly true...which is why stashing a drive at another location is the best plan
