That thread is pretty short! Basically trash prefs and remove plug ins. I've moved my entire plug ins folder to the unused folder. That should be enough. Prefs are trashed. I've also disconnected usb controllers and my audio interface.

Still no word from support and I first replied Friday.

I didn't say it contained a fix. It's a report from someone else also having problems launching pt2021.10.

What you most likely have is a licensing issue. Check to see the expiration date through your ilok account first and then work from there. You also might have to manually close your ilok session. There could be conflicts with an open cloud session.

Glad to hear you got it sorted out. And reminder for everyone: one bad plugin may halt the whole system even without being used in a session.

Thank you. My iLok subscription is current and I have fully logged in and out of the account as well as the cloud.

Could this be it?

The computer icon under valid locations is greyed out. I don't really want to have to buy another physical iLok just to see if it'll work.

What you have greyed out is PT Ultimate. What you have working is PT Standard

A Pro Tools Subscription license can only be activated to an iLok (2nd gen/later) or iLok Cloud. If you don't have an iLok USB Key then try iLok Cloud.
