D-Control output calibration for film...
I have two films I'm working on and want to make sure I have the right calibration techniques going on. I have pink noise @ -20dbfs and will place into PT7. The master bus will be going out of the main output from the monitor section of the ICON. I am not sure if both input and output trims should be calibrated to +4dbu (default I think) and from there adjust my amp levels to reach a level of 81 db SPL (these are theatrical releases.) Kind of new at this so any info or direction would be helpful. Thanks all.

Re: D-Control output calibration for film...
Make sure you are using pink noise from somewhere other then generated from PT.
The pink out of there is wrong and down about 5dB. Is this a small room? Is that why you are setting it at 81 SPL? |

Re: D-Control output calibration for film...
Yes, quite a small room. And I was recommended to try even lower number (close to 72 db). So far, so good. No complaints yet.
