Focustite plugin crashing procontrol. Help !

Hi All, i've just taken delivery of a 2nd hand multi-unit procontrol. Am just getting to grips with it, but one strange anomaly has bitten me straight away.

I've been adjusting plugins from the control surface, & all are fine apart from the focusrite d2.

As soon as i attempt to adjust a paramater on it, the procontrol looses contact with PT, & i get the SBOD, & have to force-quit. Other plugins seem fine, as does evertything else that i've tried so far.

I've a done a DUC search to no avail. Anyone have this problem/solution before?

p.s I was going to post on the Procontrol forum, but i've seen more lively graveyards, & was hoping for an answer before '09


UPDATE: Doesn't do it with a brand new project (single track, with a d2 inserted), but will *consistantly* crash any old project with the D2 in
