Alan Smart compressors
Can anyone explain to me the difference between a C1 and a C2? I am using a C1 right now, and love it. Is the C2 even better?

c2 also has dectector/sidechain inputs. i don't have any experience with the c1 but i read somewhere that it is unbalanced. i am the former owner of a c2 and can confirm to you that it is balanced.

I've heard that the C1 is a lot more like the SSL bus compressor than the C2, though the C2 is more flexible. I have only ever used the C1, which I though was a decent SSL sound alike, but the SSL one is more, well, SSL-like.
