Default Mod Delay III don't follow beat

Hi Guys,

Im using Mod Delay III. Im trying to do a regular echo type of effect on a snare. The song is 90bpm. The problem is, the Mod Delay III will delay the snare (or any other of my waves) and play it like 3 to 5 seconds after the transport bar/line reads the wave in question, which obviously make the snare off beat.

I don't know what to click or modify so my echo effect could work as well as keeping my snare on beat.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi friend !

Well thinking loud here... maybe you have the delay direct on the track insert with the delay mix parameter to %100 . If that is the case your goona hear the singal delayed only because there is no dry signal first . Supposing this is the case , you might want better to use the delay with an aux track and feed with an insert or simply lowering the delay mix parameter to a lower % .

No sweats! Im not new to pro tools but im definitely new to pro tools 12 and Mod Delay III. I had PT9 or 10 before and was using delay all the time. I however don't recall if the plugin was Mod Delay III or not.

Hey Jeam! Thanks for the feedback (no pun intended lol). I indeed used the plugin directly on the track. Ive check some videos on youtube and most people are saying to do it the way you told me to. I guess ill have to go and learn the basics of delays now haha.

Thanks anyways! Peace!
