Also, at least on the Mac, Apple and Steinberg gave developers a way out... or breathing room. Apple built in the ability in the OS to run non-native AUs while the host DAW is running natively. Similarly, Cubase Pro 12 has the ability to run Intel VST2s while it is running in native. With AAX there's no alternative but to run the entire app in Rosetta if a plugin isn't native.... although if you're on a Mac, you can run the AU version of a plug inside something like Blue Cat Audio PatchWork... but that's a bit of a hassle.

Yes, it seems that PA manager is up to date and working.
And I found, Phil's Cascade is native AAX on M.

I own a bunch of the Brainworx channel-strips and compressors. I mostly use them as AAX DSP with my Carbon. As far as I can see that makes the availability of native silicon even more desperate. I heavily depend on tracking through compressors amp sims and channel-strips in AAX DSP mode. As of right now the only plug-ins I can use AAX DSP on my M1 Mini natively are MCDSP

Don't worry. From everything I can read between the lines, PA has them available for release as soon as Avid releases a non-beta supported Apple Silicon native version. Which, for all the between the lines reading should be 2023.03 -- just an educated guess though.

edit: though the installers all state "AAX (64-bit only)" these older plugins are indeed AAX Native now. Wow! Big Kudos to FabFilter for not dropping them. Some much older versions are still not Native (the original ProQ, for instance) but since the current plug is V3 I wasn't expecting that. It's great just having V2.
