Exclamation Digi 002 Monitor Outputs

Hey everybody, I've got this huge problem, recently I noticed that my right monitor didn't have the same level as my left one, when I tested each one of them I was correct, the right one sounds less bright as the left one. I switched them both, I put the left in the right output and the left in the right output and it still did the same thing but now on the left monitor. They do not sound the same. I'm thinking it has something to do with the outputs not the monitors. It sounds really strange. The rest of the 002 works fine it's just the monitor outputs.

Can somebody help me please!!!!

If you need anymore info just ask Thanks

when you switched, did you swicth at the speaker end of the cable or the 002 end of the cable?

or to put it more directly, try another cable on the 'bad' side first.

if that does NOT solve your problem and the problem does indeed switch when you swap sides, then it does indeed seem like your 002 has a problem with one of its monitor outs, and would need service

Exclamation Re: Digi 002 Monitor Outputs

Hey!!, thanks for answering back. Yes, first I changed both cables with new ones and then I switch them at the 002 end. The thing is that my 002 is from 2005, and I don't think it has any waranty left, do you think digidesign would repair it??? also I'm from Puerto Rico if they do I would have to ship it.

If you go into a desk before sending to the 002 you can monitor at the input stage using the desk.

Playback from Pro-tools can then monitored using pro-tools outs 1-2.

Not ideal I know, but this would negate the need to use the monitor outputs (this is how I have one of my set-ups), meaning i do not have anything (or need anything) connected to the 002 monitor outs.

A:)
