Default Factory Plugins and iLok Problem

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help. I did research this issue on the forum, and think it's an installer problem but I'm not sure how to get there from here.

I have the MBox running PTLE 6.4 on a WinXP SP2 laptop. I just purchased the MBox just over a month ago. I used it for two weeks, had it unplugged for about two weeks, went back to use it and PTLE said it could find my hardware... well after reinstalling all of the applications I finally got it to recognize the Mbox, but then I realized that PTLE wasn't loading all the way because it couln't verify the first licenced plugin - Cosmonaut Voice.dpm. Well, I made sure I re-registerd the ILok dongle... and that has been verified good as the green light comes on and I can sync it with www.ilok.com. PTLE still won't load the Factory edition plugins. The only way I can get PTLE to come up is to uninstall the dongle in "Device Manager" and actually remove it from the USB port. When doing this... Cosmonaut Voice.dpm will ask me if I want to activate it... when I try it can't find the iLok, so I enable it in device manager, make sure plugged in and I have a green light, start up PTLE again and it hangs in the same spot. Otherwise I can say "Quit" on the Cosmonaut Voice.dpm plugin... and then follow the same process for the other 4 plugins and then I can get PTLE to load. The Dongle does have these liceneces on it as www.iLok.com verified this...

I read the some of these plugins may have inadvertently been set to expire by digidesign... but the iLok says the licences never expire.

I completely uninstalled and reinstalled all PTLE and support applications at least 10 times, as well as ensuring I grabbed the latest iLok driver.

Any help would be great.

Cheers
William

Default Re: Factory Plugins and iLok Problem

Hello All,

I finished re-loading everything last night... everything but the Factory Bundle Plugins which still cause PTLE to hang during application start up.

It's not a necessity that I get them working... however it was an extra $80 or so dollars to get the "Factory Bundle".

Has anyone else had this problem?
